As part of WordCamp Manchester 2016 we will be holding a WordPress Contributor Day on Sunday 23rd October, so stick around after the Conference and see how you can make a real difference to WordPress.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhether you\u2019re a budding developer, a pixel-perfect designer, or just like helping out, we\u2019re always looking for people to help make WordPress even better.\u201c
\nWordPress.org<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\nIt really doesn\u2019t matter what your skill level with WordPress is, and you don\u2019t need to be a developer or coder to be involved. There will be plenty of people on hand to help you get started and there are a number of areas where you can make a difference.<\/p>\n

You can write code, fix bugs, debate decisions, and help with WordPress development.

UI<\/h3>\n
The UI group is focused on the designing and developing the user interface. It\u2019s a home for designers and UXers alike.<\/li>\n

Accessibility<\/h3>\n
Make sure that WordPress core and all of WordPress\u2019 resources are accessible.

Mobile<\/h3>\n
Help with the iOS, Android, Windows, and Blackberry apps. They need designer, UX experts, and testers to give users a smooth experience on every device.<\/li>\n

Support<\/h3>\n
Answering a question in the support forums or IRC is one of the easiest ways to start contributing. Everyone knows the answer to something! You may need to have access to a test WordPress site (to be able to reproduce problems people mention)<\/li>\n

Polyglots<\/h3>\n
WordPress is used all over the world and in many different languages. If you\u2019re a polyglot, contribute by translating WordPress into your own language.<\/li>\n

Themes<\/h3>\n
Reviewing Themes sharpens your own Theme development skills. You can help out and join the discussion on the blog.

Documentation<\/h3>\n
Helping people help themselves when they get stuck.<\/li>\n

The Meta team makes WordPress.org, provides support, and builds tools for use by all the contributor groups.<\/li>\n

BuddyPress<\/h3>\n
Support the tool which builds WordPress communities.
