How can I contribute?
There are plenty of ways to get involved in the WordPress Community and not all of them require you to write code, in fact a lot of them don’t! Read on to find out what a contributor day is and the ways you can get involved.
Lunch will be provided and tea, coffee and soft drinks will be readily available throughout the day.
WordPress Core
The core team make & develop WordPress. You don’t have to be a PHP expert, Maybe you are just learning to code, You can write code, fix bugs, debate decisions, and help with development.
Design
The design group work on designing and developing the user interface. Whether you are a designer or a UX designer, you can look at ways to make the make the WordPress experience even better.
Mobile
The mobile team build the iOS and Android apps for WordPress. Do you have skills in Swift, Objective-C or Java? We also need UX experts and testers so don’t be daunted if you don’t speak those languages.
Accessibility
The accessibility team make sure that WordPress core and all of WordPress’ resources are accessible. Can you help in this area?

Polygots
Are you a Polyglot? WordPress is used all over the world and in many different languages. Can you help us by translating WordPress into your own language?
Support
You can help in the WordPress Support Forums by answering questions. Why not help out in the #wordpress IRC channel? Or maybe you could just provide some guidance in general – So many users in the WordPress Forums are in over their heads and they need some help and guidance. Remember, everyone has to start somewhere!
Themes
Every Theme submitted to the WordPress Theme repository has to be reviewed by the Theme Review Team. It can be a great way to sharpen your theme development skills.

Community
The WordPress Community is the heart of what makes WordPress. Maybe you want to organise your own meetup, or WordCamp in your area. This is the place to be if you want to get involved!
Training
Maybe you want to run live workshops and help other people learn WordPress. The Training Team work together to develop resources for users to be able to download and pass on their knowledge to others. If you think this is something you would like to do, join the team!
Meta
The Meta team create & maintain WordPress.org. They provides support, and make tools for use by all the contributor groups. They help to make WordPress.org better.
Flow
The Flow team test every part of the WordPress ecosystem. They test and report on the whole experience. Do you want to champion user experience? Get involved with the Flow team!
Marketing
What is any product or service without someone to tell the world about how great it is? Although we know word of mouth is so powerful, The marketing team oversees materials which help people sell and market WordPress the software and the WordPress community.
CLI
WP-CLI is the official WordPress command line tool for interacting with and managing your WordPress websites.
