How can I contribute?

There are plenty of ways to get involved in the WordPress Community and not all of them require you to write code, in fact a lot of them don’t! Read on to find out what a contributor day is and the ways you can get involved.

WordPress Core

The core team make & develop WordPress. You don’t have to be a PHP expert, Maybe you are just learning to code, You can write code, fix bugs, debate decisions, and help with development.

The design group work on designing and developing the user interface. Whether you are a designer or a UX designer, you can look at ways to make the make the WordPress experience even better.

Mobile

The mobile team build the iOS and Android apps for WordPress. Do you have skills in Swift, Objective-C or Java? We also need UX experts and testers so don’t be daunted if you don’t speak those languages.

You can help in the WordPress Support Forums by answering questions. Why not help out in the #wordpress IRC channel? Or maybe you could just provide some guidance in general – So many users in the WordPress Forums are in over their heads and they need some help and guidance.
