Going to a conference can be intimidating at the best of times; especially if you don’t know anywhere there.

Lunch at WordCamp Manchester will be a go and find your own lunch situation. If you have come to the event alone, or would like to meet new people, then Lunch with Future Friends is for you!

Come and join us for lunch. We’ve not decided where to go yet, so will take into account people’s preferences and needs, and pick a place to go collectively on the day.

We made a lunch map for you! The eateries are highlighted by walking distance of 5 minutes, 10 minutes and further a field. Nothing in Manchester is more than 20 minutes walk away.

History of Lunch with Future Friends

Many moons ago, I went to FFConf in Brighton ( highly recommend), and they had a lunch time event that encouraged strangers at the conference to meet others in a similar boat over lunch. I jokingly renamed Lunch with Future Friends on stage, and the name forever stuck.

I loved the concept and the event so much, that I asked Remy and Julie if we could bring it to WordCamp Manchester. They instantly said yes!

So, I have the pleasure of introducing to you all to Lunch with Future Friends.
