We’re happy to announce that WordCamp Manchester 2026 is live! Please go ahead and buy tickets.
The first WordCamp in the city since 2018, we felt it was the right time to try and pick it up again.
When is this wordCamp?
We are holding it in Whitworth Locke on November 6th, 2026. The day will start at about 10am (so you don’t have to catch quite an early train), with the day wrapping up at about 5pm.
As in the words of Tony Wilson – “This is Manchester, we do things differently here” – we’re doing a barcamp style this time around conference. The community in the UK has been away from each other for too long (often meeting in Europe), and whilst it’s been lovely, we felt it was time for us to meet on our own soil.
What does this all mean?
This means:-
- No traditional sponsors
- No traditional talks
- No after party where you cannot hear yourself think
Instead we have a surprise keynote super fun session in the morning, with 3 afternoon sessions split over our venue. Want to discuss AI and how it’s going to change your job? Fab, go ahead. Is the Gaelic version of WordPress a bit rusty and want to contribute face to face with somebody at the event? Sure, grab a table. Feeling like you want a hug from fellow freelancers because clients haven’t paid their bills? Keep it in the code-of-conduct, but sure. Whatever you wish to do, it’s your WordCamp.
